Sure it is. I prefer running it on Linux (or similar) though.

It handles multiple email addresses without problems.

Try reading the manual for Gnus - it does _a lot_ of things. And you
can make everything else happen too - it includes a complete
programming language (e-lisp) for making additions and changes to the
program.
