I have one client domain, where a number of key staff hot-desk it between offices - one user in particular visits each of 3 offices daily, and he leaves his PC in each office collecting e-mail EVERY MINUTE of EVERY DAY - this means his ONE login checks e-mail 3 times per minute.
I've tried user education, and I've tried reason - they refuse to consider that their $300 a year hosting account doesn't come with this kind of e-mail facility hammering as standard... so I figured that when they came up for renewal, I'd simply not invoice them.... except... our ever so money hungry accounts type spotted my "omission" , and invoiced them - they paid - I'm stuck with this garbage for another year.
Is there any way to limit the collection of e-mail on a virtual host or domain - or even IP address and possibly a few login IDs? It's not THAT much of a hammering, but this one domain is responsible for more than the sum of all the other e-mail checking on the server - and to be fair, they receive MUCH less e-mail than some of the other accounts. They are simply anal about this checking.

ps - I'd take a straw poll - would anyone simply TERMINATE their accounts?
