While others have been in contact with various legal authorities and Cobalt
tech support today, I have been in contact with CobaltRacks. Before I go
bailing out on them, or joining a lawsuit, I'd like to see if I can have my
issue resolved right from the source.
I had written a long diatribe but goodness knows I've been going crazy
lately with people putting 4 and 5 emails in their replies (hint: CUT AND
PASTE, PEOPLE!), so I cut it down and will just say that from the
communication I've had today with CR, they are going to try to make things
right.
Maybe instead of getting all flaming mad or slapping down a lawsuit - no
offense Kevin, it's just that this was *very* quick moving on your part with
no chance for CR to resolve things, know what I mean? - the other CR clients
should try giving CR the opportunity to fix the problem. Besides, we don't
even know if it really is CR's problem or if they got these dressed-up
RaQ3's from Cobalt (perhaps the ones doing the bait-and-switch is Cobalt
themselves?) - there are many things to look into here.
However, if you're one of the ones who doesn't get any response from CR
whatsoever, I understand totally if you decide to leave. I'd just like to
see people more willing to work out a problem than to immediately sue for
money and bail. Working out a problem, after all, makes for a stronger
relationship. Bailing out just leaves you in another unknown situation with
your new provider - whomever that might be. Who knows, the new provider
could be even worse.
Out of respect for the other list members who aren't CR customers I'll stop
with this now, and will just post a note when/if everything gets resolved.
But again, I've been in contact with CR and they *are* taking steps to
resolve my disappointing discovery of being on a RaQ3.
