Hey Frank,
My background: Website Design & Management forced to lease my own server as
a cost-effective measure. Started off with 'Linux-What is it' using a Raq4
now for about 2 years. Afraid of screwing anything up so only installing
.pkgs except for portsentry/log as it was easy.
About 4 months ago- crossed over to needing SPAM and Virus control as it was
getting out-of-control. Followed the instructions at www.qitc.net and even
had a few of those CPAN issues. Got through it and all is working well. I
even enjoy the side benefit of knowing how to configuring everything because
the NONpkg way educates you on things you should learn for tweaking. The
result is current software running well configured for our needs and
knowledge of how to change things if there are blocking/spam/virus issues.
This is not meant to be a challenge thrown at you, just my 2cents to help
you in your decision...
Dave~
