Hi all!
I want to install an AntiVirus-Package on a RAQ4. I searched some
hours the lists and google and here's what I got so far:
- Bassi's MailScanner PKG is available on raqsoft.eu.org. It contains
everything needed, but F-Prot is outdated and I need to update it
manually. Little documentation posted by Bassi himself last August
here in the list + the sweep.pl file.
- Zeffi got a free MailScanner PKG on his pages www.zeffie.com. But
it doesn't contain any AV Software afaik.
- Some completely manual instructions are available. For example ->
www.qitc.net/support/mailscanner
- Other companies (Solarspeed, Zeffi...) are selling complete AV
Suites for some 50-xxx$, too.
I want a good working (and of course cheap *sigh*) solution. So
before just buying something I'd prefer something else. Which is the
best? Is it still recommendable to use Bassi's PKG and do the manual
update (which F-Prot to use: .tar or .rpm?)? Or is this PKG too
outdated at all and it's better to do a complete manual install? Are
there other PKGs or solutions out there I've missed so far?
Regards, Frank
