Bassi's package was great, but is aged. It will still provide some protection.

No one has presented the idea, yet, to install MailScanner from source. It 
can be done, but not for the faint of heart, nor the rookie admin! These 
instructions worked for me: http://www.qitc.net/support/mailscanner/

I have since upgraded my RaQ4 installations. I've managed a 4.2x version on 
the RaQ3. It was not easy and could really bugger your RaQ3 and sendmail, 
though.

The newer MailScanner versions 4.2x can use ClamAV, which is a great Open 
Source virus scanner.
