Thanks for doing a little research on the problem.
The poprelay daemon is running fine. Sendmail is aware of the POP
relaying database, as determined by the presense of my user friendly
relay error message.
Your maillog looks fine except for the following:
Mar 20 14:48:09 raq1 sendmail[21472]: OAA21472: ruleset=check_mail,
arg1=<gerald@xxxxxxxxx>, relay=[208.49.167.126], reject=501
<gerald@xxxxxxxxx>... Sender domain must exist
Sendmail is unable to resolve waugh.com, although I can from my
workstation at Cobalt. Otherwise I'm not seeing any denied or accepted
mail relays.
Are you using POP-before-SMTP version 1.2? Did you upgrade from an
older version?
