On Linux systems it's either at /var/spool/mail, or there's a symbolic link so that /var/spool/mail will work. It's a good idea to start getting into the habit of using standards <wry grin>.

This file is a temporary copy of the user's
mail file.  If you delete it (rm .userid.pop) all should be okay again.

Do it as root, of course <smile>.
