Darryl,
The temporary file referred to in the message is a hidden file called
.userid.pop (where userid is the name of the mailbox) which you should be
able see if you use the command ls -la in your mail directory (on a Qube2, I
think that's home/spool/mail). This file is a temporary copy of the user's
mail file. If you delete it (rm .userid.pop) all should be okay again.
