  If you fry the ROM it can be repaired. We repair servers, many with
fried ROMs.

The important thing is to make sure the server is on an uninterruptable
power source while performing the ROM upgrade. Also stay away from the
power cord and the power switch. Power loss during the reflash can fry the
ROM.
