just to clarify - I have specified 192.168.1.20 as the first DNS
server to use, and 192.168.1.1 as the second. Note seattle-slew is
the machine at address 192.168.1.20 and it should be the default DNS
server.
[jak jak]$ host seattle-slew
Host seattle-slew not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
[jak jak]$ nslookup -sil whirlaway
Server: 192.168.1.1
Address: 192.168.1.1#53
** server can't find whirlaway: NXDOMAIN
[jak jak]$ nslookup -sil whirlaway 192.168.1.20
Server: 192.168.1.20
Address: 192.168.1.20#53
Name: whirlaway.library.sspl.org
Address: 192.168.1.7
