The FAQ already prohibits advertising. If you think what he posted was
an ad, it shouldn't have been posted.

I see very few posts that I would say fall under the part of the FAQ
that says they shouldn't be posted.

Hmmm, I don't think I saw anything that says beta. He said the first 5
were free, then he was selling them. If they were beta, I don't think
he'd, (I hope he wouldn't), be selling them.

Pot, kettle, black. You could have done the same.

Start by looking in the mirror.

And you didn't do that, because??

At least you recognize the quality of your writing. ;)

Those are banned. Although I'm not sure about the "closely resembling"
part. I would say his original posts were ads. If he sent them all
directly to each member of the list instead of posting to the list I'm
sure you would consider it spam.

I don't see any complaints about such posts. Only ones offering products
for sale, as this did. Maybe I missed them. If you have an example of
someone "announcing" a cobalt specific product, not selling a product,
via this list, please post the archive URL.

I'd say 95% of the posts are bugs and help requests/answers. Maybe you
have your filters backwards and are filtering on the word "help" or
"broken" or something else.

Then stop.

It's also among the biggest sigs I've ever seen. 4 lines is the
standard.
