I am managing a small mixed (9x XP pro) LAN with no problems mounting smb
shares. Don't remember doing anything special to access smb share on the
qube 3 pro. Set it up through the qube GUI. User names and passwords are
the same for win and qube. Can browse or map drives using "net use". Hand
edited hosts files on win and qube. No WINS. No domains, just workgroups.
HTH. Which xp are you running home/pro?
Recently installed a print server primarily for the pc users. I thought I
would configure the qube last since it would only rarely print. I was
surprised that after using the GUI to add the printers that they
immediately showed up in network neighborhood/places.
