I have multiple name based hosting accounts on my
raq4r - all are working fine with the exception of a
single host. The problem is that the host does not
respond correctly to http requests directed to
http://host.com, however, the hosts responds as
expected using http://www.host.com. When
http://host.com is attempted, the default admin page
is displayed - not the correct vhost.
As I mentioned, this is a name based host, sharing an
ip with many other name based hosts that all work
correctly. I am a DNS administrator and have verified
that the zone file is correct. The raq DOES NOT
manage DNS, in fact, named is shut off on the raq. I
have verified that other name based domains on the raq
work correctly and that all have similar site
configurations.
Can anyone give me some direction as to what to look
for next? I am assuming that perhaps a redirect
config option may be missing in the httpd.conf
although I am not certain. Has anyone experienced
similar behavior on the raq4 and if so, can you offer
any advice on how you were able to resolve the
problem?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Max
