[cobalt-users] How to write directly to the sendmail spool directory

Dear Cobalt Users,

Is it possible to write directly to the sendmail spool
/var/spool/mqueue/q1/?

I am trying to send out a mass email and I was wondering if writing a text
directly to the spool will work.

I am using the ColdFusion 5.0 with the advancedemail tag. This tag allows
you to specify the spool directory. It will just generated a text file to
the directory with out going to ColdFusion first.

Does send mail have a different text format? If it is different what is the
format?
