I'd change them to one hour today.  Doesn't hurt.  Then to 1 second (I'm
not sure if 0 means 0 or if it means never) an hour or two before the

If you've only got one IP# on the box, when you change the main site
(network config as you call it) it'll automatically change all the
sites.  At least it does on later RaQs, at least the last time I tried
it.

Works.

This is the hard part, as you've written further down...

Run the latest version of meta-verify; use the command-line options to
make it fix the database based on what's on the disk... that should
work.  Sorry I don't have more specific instructions; this is all I
remember.

I'd handle nameservers a bit differently; see my reply to Rick Ewart's
post.

See my note above.  You may have to change everything through the gui; I
did it that way at least once; quite some time ago; it's a real PITA.
