[cobalt-users] RE: adding a user the cobalt RaQ4i way

I got there as well, so that's OK.

I think in my case that is not really a good option, there
are several reasons for that, one being that CMU isn't
working either, here's a log from a week ago:

 INFO: /usr/sbin/cmuExport running on mail.test.nl
 INFO: /usr/sbin/cmuExport started on Sat May 25 02:50:22 2002
 INFO: /usr/sbin/cmuExport running version: 2.27
INFO: /usr/sbin/cmuExport running in directory: /home/raqbackup/data
Scanout: ERROR: Cannot convert test.nl to groupName
Scanout: INFO: We exported 0 vsites, 0 users, 0 lists

So, I'll better try and truly repair it at the source...

I wish I knew. All of sudden I couldn't add email-aliases,
people told me the virtusertable could be damaged.
It was, but after I repaired it using meta-verify,
the GUI went bezerk, no host/sitename anywhere anymore.

I did discover something else, when adding a user:

[root cobalt]# ./adduser -d mail.test.nl -f "Chris Schneemann" -u
chris -p
"christest"

SSH gave me this response:

Cannot find domain: mail.test.nl

Which is strange, since mail.test.nl is currently running
fine with about 70 useraccounts, receiving mail for @test.nl
and webmail under http://mail.test.nl

Another artifact of similar nature:
When adding/changing an alias, all entries for the user
in virtusertable appear without a domain name in it!
Like this:

aliasforuser1@	user1
old-generated-alias-foruser2@xxxxxxxxxxxx	user2
alias2foruser1@	user1
user1@	user1

etc.

So, it seems Cobalt does not find the/a host and/or domainname.
Do you know where adduser (or the GUI) obtains it from?
Must be somewhere postgres related, but when trying to
gain some info about that in the developers list,
my messages do not even get through...

I'll try and find out as much as I can myself,
but any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
