Well not that it matters but I did over a week ago! Anyway I'm just grateful
that a
newbie (to Raqs) like me can learn stuff in the forum. My life is one large
learning curve!
This forum has a great signal to noise ratio.

I'm attempting to get to the position where I can move existing several live
sites onto the
box. I'm doing this on a test domain I own (dhbolton.com) first to reassure
myself
so the downtime for the live sites is minimised.

In my web registrar I need two name servers for my domain. 1 is my own box-
I've added it
to the box, enabled DNS and have added a record for it (and reverse lookup).
The second one
will come from Steven Young (in this forum) with whom I'll have a mutual
DNS.

So for my box to be a secondary to him I just have to add his IP as a
secondary as
you suggested.

So am I correct in thinking (from the perspective of a Windows box) that to
test
a new website on the RAQ, I add it to the box, add the DNS record to the box
and
in my PC (oops bad language!) just add the entry in the hosts file?
