Re: [cobalt-users] email aliases on RaQ not working - "user unknown"... and now MX loop problem

Sure of the latter (or rather I didn't at the time - I do now, just to get something working!) but I don't think I do the former - just where does the @www.carnoisseur.com go and why? I tried pasting "sales@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" into phil's alias box but it didn't like it.

Just put "sales" in his alias box

DNS set up is carnoisseur.com, www.carnoisseur.com and mail.carnoisseur.com all point at the RaQ's IP and there is an MX record for carnoisseur.com pointing to mail.carnetonlinelimited.co.uk.

Just how many servers do you have?
How many subdomains?
Who hosts your dns?
Which Raq do you have?

If you have a Raq4, the site should be set up as
host: www
domain: carnoisseur.com
alias: carnoisseur.com
email alias: carnoisseur.com

Do you have another server located elsewhere for the mail at mail.carnetonlinelimited.co.uk or is that an alias for carnoisseur.com? the mx record just points at the server, if carnoisseur.com is serving the mail it would be carnoisseur.com pointing at carnoisseur.com If it is going to the other server it would be something like carnoisseur.com points at mail.carnetonlinelimited.co.uk

F. (can't check things at the moment - the RaQ has just disappeared again - 2nd time today!)
