The statement above is not indicative of how things work.
If you changed the IP address for your name server through
the register that it registered it then that change was passed on
to root servers who thus have the correct information. Other
registers which maintain domains that are hosted on your name
servers will not reflect those changes unless and until you
manually change each and every domain name.
Quite simply, as long as the root servers have the correct
information you are good to go regardless of how the information in
each individual registers database may appear.
