Has anyone encountered anything near my experience
(below) with Network Solutions when it comes to
getting DNS updates/changes made via another register,
into the WHOIS systems at NetSol?
Quick overview of my problem.
- All my domains are registered through BulkRegister.
- In Nov I made an IP change to a secondary NS system
via BulkRegister, where the domain is registered.
Change accepted, no problem.
- Within 48-72 hours, the new IP for the NS shows up
correctly in the global WHOIS database.
- Three months after the change and any customer who's
domain is registered with Network Solutions is *still*
showing the *old* IP addy for the secondary DNS, which
is incorrect/invalid. All domains registered with any
register *besides* NetSol shows the secondary NS IP
correctly. Only domains registered with NetSol has
problems.
Obviously this is a major issue to a host. If I were
to lose primary DNS, all customer's registered with
Network Solutions will find their domain's dead in the
water. NetSol has failed for 3 months to update their
WHOIS database to reflect the correct information
contained in the global WHOIS registry. All other
registers are reflecting the change correctly.
- I have emailed NetSol regarding this issue 2 times
since December, never a single reply. Of course I'm
sure they're not interested in talking with someone
who's domain is registered with a competitor, but this
issue is slightly different.
- Called NetSol last Monday regarding the problem and
stated "it will be looked into" as the NetSol rep on
the phone said they needed to esculate the issue. -the
problem still remains.
Any suggestions short of offering all customer's
registered with NetSol a free transfer to another
register? There has to be a way to force NetSol to fix
this problem. Any ideas?
