There is no "majordomo" to contact. That's the way it is with
opensource software. There are people who support majordomo, some
(including me) free of charge, on the majordomo support email list, and
others (also including me) for charge, for people who need that level of
support. We've gone so far as to even rewrite sections of majordomo
(and place those rewritten pieces back into open source as well). But
we do charge for it unless we're being altruistic.

While I think I MAY understand what you mean by "lists within a list",
I'm not really sure, and I do know that majordomo itself doesn't really
support anything like that. In fact, majordomo doesn't even really
support one list that's both an individual-message list and a
digest-list; the majordomo-owner has to create them both independently
and the list-owner has to manage them both independently. Of the few
digest commands in the list.config file, many don't even work (and are
so documented).

And majordomo doesn't handle de-mime-ing either, though mime attachments
really screw up the limited digest and archive features. Nor does it
handle any kind of html interface, though several have been implementing
separately.

These aren't Cobalt/Sun limitations, but majordomo limitations. Then
you might ask "why do we still use majordomo", and that, I really can't
answer except to say that no one says you have to use majordomo.
