Hi,
Cobalt/Frontpage has made me look stupid and I now need to redeem myself
in the eyes of my customer. I persuaded him to transfer from his old ISP
to
me, because I thought that FP worked reasonably well but now ....
I have scoured the archives for the solution, and have tried ever
suggestion I
cam accross, but nothing works, so if there is an expert outthere please
let
me know your rates to get this problem resolved.
The problem is - publishing to the main FP site is fine, then the client
tells me,
they have subwebs, after many hours, I find this is not supported on the
Cobalt Raq3. So, the resolution to create additional users, with FP
extensions
enabled on each, and publish each (subweb) to the relevant users/web
directory.
Simple, but no ... First of all it comes up with a password problem, get
round
this, and the error, cannot create, manage, delete subwebs on this
server from the
FP client, get your server administrator to set them up Blah, Blah
Blah.
I have tried deleting the whole site and setting up with many
permutations,
i.e. create site and enable FP extensions at same time.
create site, then site admin, then enable FP extensions on the site
create site, the site admin, then create additional user, then enable FP
extensions
on the site, then enable FP extensions on the additional user
And about 20 other combinations (slight exaggeration)
So, if anyone can help, just let me know what you will charge either on
or off the list.
Thanks in advance
Harvey
