We have never had a problem changing IP's

In fact we have a few server farms that all run the same website behind a
load balancer using different IP's with the same SSL cert installed on all
machines and it works fine.

We have used both Verisign and Thawte this way with no problems.

All certs that I have purchased are based on the domain name URL your
registered for the cert and is not based in any way on IP address.
