Hello,
I'm running since 1999 some websites on a Cobalt RaQ 1 machine. This machine
had been working really good and was serving its purpose very well. But now,
after 2 years of use, we are thinking of upgrading it to a better
architecture (specially regarding Intel against MIPS... sometimes we would
like to add soft to this server and it's a pain because there are not RPMs
for MIPS and so...)
Our needs are basically related to Apache + PHP + MySQL, e-mail facilities,
mailing lists and so.
We don't run a lot of websites on this machine (it's almost dedicated to 1
project).
I would like to hear suggestions from other users, regarding the new
machines (in example, differences between RaQ XTR and RaQ 4. I read some of
it at the FAQs, but I would like to hear some comments from users)
Thanks for your comments,
Tomás
