Anne,
Use Webalizer.
1. It's free (unlike Webtrends)
2. It will split your log files up so that you can get daily, weekly,
and monthly reports (that stick around)
3. It will let you rule out any types of files you don't want logged
(like images, or cgi files for heavy message board sites, etc.)

There's a free package for it on the Cobalt download site that
whooshes it right into your RaQ and sets everything up for you. After
that it's just tweaking the config file.
