I used to manage IIS web server on NT, and am new to this Cobalt business.
On IIS, you could control specifically what was logged in the raw log files,
e.g. if you want to exclude logging of everything in the /images folder, you
could seriously reduce the size of your log files. Is there any way to do
this in CObalt? (RaQ3i)
Second question -- again, in IIS you can tell the server to accumulate your
log files on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Cobalt seems to log
activiity for one day, zip it up, log activity for the next day on the same
file. The next day it is overwritten -- that means that any time you run a
report (I'm running Webtrends) you get a report for two days. No good. I'd
like to either have the log files named unique names so that I can run a
week's or month's worth of reports, or to accumulate (but only if I can
accomplish (1), removing logging of graphics files).
TIA,
Anne
