If both nameservers are working, the route to (response
time) of the nameserver
determines which one may be called. Some foreign nameservers
may cache either
your Master or your Slave, so you never know which one will
receive a request.
My nameservers seem to have twice as many calls to the
Master as the Slave,
and they have both been up since the last time I had to
reboot due to software
updates.

So can you tell me, how to set up the two on one Server? OK, its a really
bad thing I heard, but if I could get started with my server, I would be
happy.
Here is what I did in the SOA:
www.domain1.com -> IP1
domain1.com -> IP1
IP1 -> domain1.com
ns1.domain1.com -> IP1
ns2 -> WHAT SHALL I DO WITH THIS?? someone told me, that I cannot use it
with the second IP???
www.domain2.com -> IP2
doamin2.com -> IP2
IP2 -> domain2.com
ns1.domain2.com -> IP2 BUT THIS SURE IS WRONG, becaus my nameservers would
then be:
ns1.domain1.com -> IP1
ns1.domain2.com -> IP2
Can ANYBODY tell me in a simple way like I did it above what I would have to
do?
I would be very thankful for every help that my server could get started...
Michael
