[cobalt-users] "unusual system events"

I have a Qube 2 that I recently purchased used and I am fairly new to
Linux/Unix.  The Qube was "factory fresh" when I recieved it and have
applied all the patches/updates.  I'm curious about the following log
entries that I receive via logcheck.  Particularly, I wonder why proftpd
seems to do something every 5 minutes or so and shows an "FTP session
closed" entry.  Also, why are IPX and Appletalk so "chatty"?  In the setup I
only have samba enabled, not Appletalk.   Is this something I should worry
about?
