It surely would. Legally we cannot confirm or deny any
information whatsoever about the clients and/or our responsibility
for their web presence. Don't get the wrong idea though, there's
absolutely nothing even remotely shady with either deal.

But this also violates the privacy policies posted on many
web hosting sites - including our's and those on a few of the sites
ran by participants in this thread.

I can't apologize for taking that kind of thing very
seriously. Both my providers have privacy policies posted on
their sites too. I expect them to be honored, just as my clients
expect us to honor our privacy policy.

But, what else can I say... I'm not effected by this.
Worse yet, perhaps, we have two circuits, both of which we obtained
address space for without giving out any client information other
than the number of hosts we have and how the address space will be
used. Another subscriber to this list just a few weeks ago obtained,
as I recall, two /20s without giving away any client information
either - at least I didn't see any details roll by and I believe I
was cc'd on all the messages.

After pondering the situation a bit though I think the
trick is to hire 'Eddy' to write the justification for the address
space. But Eddy upbraided me the last time I posted his email
address on a public forum, see paragraph one above, so I'll just
leave it at that :-)

I'm actually Brent Sims, Webokay.net - I just like using
this domain name on this particular list...
