I am no teacher, and I am not here to teach either. No it wasn't a great
example, but this is what happens on the list:
Person A:
'I think i have been hacked. I keep getting these 'Lame Server' messages in
my logs - does anyone know what they are?'
Person B
'Yes, you probably haven't been hacked, those messages are just there when
named gets confused about the authority for a domain, here is a link to
explain: etc'
then - days later: from a Person C:
'I think i have been hacked. I keep getting these 'Lame Server' messages in
my logs - does anyone know what they are?'
If i am person B i am damned if i am going to explain it again right?
This isn't something that the second person didn't understand, this isn't
something that they were confused about even after hearing an explanation.
This is the fact that they no NO EFFORT to find out what it meant
themselves.

I dont think Dan answered the question in such a way as to make the
questioner feel dumb. Perhaps it made others feel dumb, but who knows. I
believe that the guy who asked the question will probably check the archives
now, which can only be a good thing.
well okay - you have the choice of answering or assuming that they are one
of three things:
1.) Stupid
2.) Lazy
3.) Not paying attention
4.) All of the above
Okay so i lied, there were four options.
This is symantics anyway, and not something i care to get into any further,
needless to say - check the archives before you merrily post away.
