It is not "lxml" you need to find. The "-l" is an option to linker, that says that it needs to link in the XML library. So actually the file you should be looking for is "libxml.so". A quick search, and you'll find the RPM files here: ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/libxml-1.8.6-2.i3 86.rpm ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/libxml-devel-1.8. 6-2.i386.rpmHmmm, it shouldn't have a problem then. I installed the latest versions (which is what EZPublish says it needs) 2.3.2 of both the above earlier.I'll try those as well though.
Well it makes and installs, but i get various errors when trying to restart the httpd server now:
When i defined --with-mysql=/home/mysql (the directory i installed it to) i get an error about libmysqlclient.so.10 not being a valid resource or something.
If i leave PHP to the default --with-mysql it uses it's inbuilt bit's 'n' bobs, but i then get this error:
Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so into server: /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so: undefined symbol: xmlXPtrNewContext
I think i'm just going to compile it back the way it originally was. At least until I've had a few days to ponder it.
