Ehm, I think you have misunderstood something. Normally you telnet or ssh to
your server, and "logging off" simply means to close your telnet window. So
logging on and off is very simple procedure, that does not require a reboot.
Yeah i knew that. Just in the installation docs for QT it refers to
logging out and back in so the new .profile is loaded.
Normally you can even reload the .profile without logging on and off using
these commands:
sh ~/.profile
or for the global profile file:
sh /etc/profile
Ah, excellent. It referred to that in the docs as re-sourcing, but a
search on the 'net and a flick through my Linux admin book didn't have any
reference to it.
I'll give that a try.
I'm however unsure if you can actually install QT without the X libraries.
Well I'll give it a try and see. It's not really required though as
libqdom is only needed for pulling news off other sites and displaying it
on your own, and I'm not likely to need that at the moment.

It is not "lxml" you need to find. The "-l" is an option to linker, that
says that it needs to link in the XML library. So actually the file you
should be looking for is "libxml.so".
A quick search, and you'll find the RPM files here:
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/libxml-1.8.6-2.i3
86.rpm
ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/libxml-devel-1.8.
6-2.i386.rpm
Hmmm, it shouldn't have a problem then. I installed the latest versions
(which is what EZPublish says it needs) 2.3.2 of both the above earlier.
I'll try those as well though.
Thanks muchly.
