I haven't played with a RaQ3, but every PC motherboard I ever saw (Abit
being the glaring exception) made you change jumpers, etc. in order to
accommodate the new processor. Investigate your motherboard and CMOS well;
this will also provide final answers as to what your options are.

He certainly may need to consider another option, but I wouldn't call it
"barely noticeable"... It's got to add at least 200-250 BogoMIPS to the
total CPU power, and that's not bad. I still have a Sun5 on my desk at 110
BogoMIPS.
