If you're under warranty, I'd make sure Cobalt switched my Qube or
fixed it. Even if you're not, I'd ask them under what conditions
they'd be willing to repair/replace your unit.
I fear the amount of reconfiguration you might have to do in order
to redirect eth0 or eth1 to another port may be substantial. But
then again, I don't know that much.
As to what Ethernet card, I don't know. But I've heard that any
Ethernet card comfortably supported by the standard Linux 2.0
kernel and above will be welcome in your Qube. See if you can
get verification of this, but for God's sake don't take my word
for it.
