Well then you'd be wrong, wrong, wrong.

As I can't be arsed to explain why, I'll just point out that the
most experienced and clueful posters do not as a rule top-post, 
they *certainly* trim unwanted crud, and that by top-posting you 
do not endear yourself to them and you do reduce your chances of
getting the help that you are presumably seeking.

For those about to flame me for being an off-topic netiquette whiner
who is reducing the usefulness of this list, I'll say again that my
whole point is about trying to keep the list useful.
