RE: [cobalt-users] Raq2 .lock problem after RaQ2-en-Update-OS-3.0.pkg possible bug.

The saga continues.

I spoke to Cobalt who took a look in my RaQ. Here's the Telnet:

[admin admin]$ /var/lib/cobalt
bash: /var/lib/cobalt: is a directory
[admin admin]$ cd /var/lib/cobalt
[admin cobalt]$ ls
OS-4.0.md5lst obsolete/
RaQ2-All-SecurityFix-3.0.1-6682.md5lst pop-before-smtp-1.2.md5lst
RaQ2-update-OS-2.0.md5lst uninstallers/
[admin cobalt]$ cd obsolete
[admin obsolete]$ ls
RaQ2-en-Update-OS-3.0.md5lst SecurityFix2.0-2.0.md5lst
RaQ2-update-OS-2.0.md5lst SecurityFix2.2-2.2.md5lst

Apparently, putting OS-2.0 back on made OS 3.0 obsolete.

The tech from Cobalt said he was going to escalate this up. He also told me
that their tech there shouldn't have touched the RaQ in the first place for
me as I'm not the owner. They should only have touched it at the request of
Interliant. (Too late for that now I told him since it was their technician
that messed it up.) So it may come down to Interliant needing to either get
the RaQ back where it should be, or contacting Cobalt to fix it as the RaQ
owner. He said they may want to charge me to do anything. (Again, too late
for that I told him.)
So, we'll see what the deal is when they call back.

IMO, they should remove OS 3.0 update from the site, even if it has a bunch
of necessary fixes since it apparently breaks POP. Like a car mechanic
telling you they put new better seatbelts in your car, but you can't open
the doors anymore.

Here's what my RaQ2 says now:

Cobalt OS Release 4.0
POP-Authenticated SMTP Relaying Release 1.2
RaQ2-All-Security Release 3.0.1-6682
RaQ2-Update-OS Release 2.0

But, the key is, it's working.
