Help! I was having trouble with the logs, too small, and needed to change the config file in the /etc/logrotate.d directory on one of the sites . . . now the site stopped logging information altogether. Anyone know what happen? I looked at the chmod in my WS-FTP program and all the config files are set at 744.
Hi Martin,I can't help you with your log rotate problem, and I didn't know if I should mention how WS_FTP views CHMOD settings, but "immediately" after reading your message a client of mine sent a panicked note because she was trying to chmod a new cgi file and then she checked the other cgi(s) in the bin and found them all to take on the new setting. She changed one back to it's former setting and LO...they all take on that new setting..:)
WS_FTP does not tell you the current chmod settings. It only remembers the last setting you made. WS_FTP is great for setting chmods...but be careful...you can't use it to tell you what another files' setting is at the same time.
