bad news... what do you intend with "on the root" ? did you do it AS
root, IN the root directory or both of them ?

if the weather is fine, go swimming and watch some gals while you`re
awaiting the delivery of your restore cd.

maybe you could try to login using the serial port, but i don`t think
this will work. even if you can login, you will have to restore all file
permissions, which will nearly be impossible.
