Well, stuck again.
I am attempting to set an MX record that will only accept mail for
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and another MX record to route user@xxxxxxxxxxxx mail
to an outsourcing company's IP. Unfortunately, the only way I can get
user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to work is to also accept mail for user@xxxxxxxxxxxx
which I DON'T want.
I tried the following:
DNS Server: Created MX record box.mydomain.com => mail.mydomain.com
Email Server: Removed the Relay for following hosts/domains: mydomain.com &
added box.mydomain.com to the alias field.
I've tried a couple of combinations. Either it doesn't work at all, or it
responds to user@xxxxxxxxxxxx as well. Any ideas how to distinguish between
the two? I will eventually need to add an MX record that points to the
outsourcing company, but I wanted to get this responding correctly first.
Thanks, Kel
