Re: [cobalt-users] FW: Help setting up Email for domain

Since I'm a newbie and just went through this....I'll try some suggestions
(I'm sure the expertise of the group will jump right in and correct me).

Make sure on your DNS server that your 'mail.batcom.com.au' is an A record
and not a CNAME record.

Your MX record should be batcom.com.au -> mail.batcom.com.au

Make sure that you actually saved everything back to your DNS record. (If
you are using the web interface, its back to the control panel).

In your mail server, make sure that you have the IP AND the batcom.com.au IN
your relay list and the www.batcom.com.au in your host domain alias.

And if you are dislexic like me, make sure that your ip is entered correctly
in your DNS records. I had one that was entered wrong and it seems to
"remember" the old IP no matter how many times I saved it, etc. I tried it
on another machine to make sure that it wasn't just my cache.....but same
thing. The next day, it simply started working. I'm not sure if it just
needed resetting or what.

Let us know fellow newbies know what happens....its always a learning
experience;-)
