Wooh.  Over here in behind-the-times Yoorp, I'm still stuck on 2.2.10.

My understanding is that the Cobalt distro is *based on* Red Hat 5.2.
It would be nice to have the modifications documented...

Actually, I find that when it comes to getting computers to do what I 
want them to, rationality doesn't always help.  In particular if someone
says "well changing that shouldn't make any difference" it's a hint 
that you should change it and see if it does.

*Experience* tells me that sometimes doing things like restarting the
daemon will clear out the problems, as Dennis says, however much the 
brain protests that it is impossible that it will do so.  The reason, I 
suppose, is that we are not dealing with perfect hardware or software.
