Cobalt never planned nor promised a web front end to the UPS software. As
far as Cobalt is concerned, there is nothing to finish. I'm not quite sure
where you would need one in any case... it's something you set up when you
are physically with the RaQ 3 (thus the LCD interface) and I'm not sure why
you would reconfigure anything remotely. It's hard to unplug a UPC from
3000 miles away.

I think the point is that most UPS software
provides an easy-to-use interface for configuring
the various settings, like: shutdown at %, shutdown at time,
logging, alerts, etc.

I did get the ups gui working and I liked it. But when My had disk in the RaQ3 died I could not be bothered to re-do all the work. since there was SO many parts missing or simply modified in the Cobalt OS stock I just could not face getting all the parts and doing it all over.

the libpng gif stuff etc.. and other binaries that needed to be there all missing see a historic posting from 6 months ago when I listed all the missing parts.

I was able to look at UPS battery level, Incoming Power Level remaining battery time all the stuff that the SmartUPS does. and was able to send commands to put the UPS into Test mode Calibrate mode.

Lyle sys that I dont need all this. well I do because to test the UPS that is connected to my RaQ3 is 300Miles away. and it cost $200 for remote hands to simply press a button.

One day I re-do all that again. But I was hoping that Cobalt would finish off the project.

The original poster was, I think, quite reasonably asking
for the same level of support as they could get on practically
any other platform ...

Isn't this what the Cobalt sales pitch is all about?
(An easy to use GUI to configure and manage your Linux box.)
