Hi All,
I have been an avid reader of all posts for the last 3-4 months and
gleaned lots of useful information, so on this my first post, I wish
to thank you all for keeping my blue box alive :)
........until now...
I have Raq4r which has no network connection on either port. I suspect
that a recent storm has blasted the onboard IC. I am trying to get a
2nd hand Motherboard from ebay (almost the same price bid wise as a
whole Raq4!) but would also like to know if:
(a) I could add a new NIC into the PCI slot to use...
(b) If the IC's on the motherboard can swapped out and if so where to
source the appropriate chips (only IC i can identify is a "pulse H1012").
(c) If my installation of webmin could have munged the NIC or driver.
Not too worried about attacking the board with a soldering iron as I
led a previous existance as a PCB builder.
Many thanks
Mark Kendall
