[cobalt-users] RAQ 4i does not respond looking for some input

Hello,

I've got a big problem with a collocated Raq 4. After working perfectly well
it suddenly started giving CGIWrap errors on certain (basic) scripts,
page-not-found errors on some URLs including the Admin pages...

Attempting to telnet, I got the following error:
                        telnetd: /bin/login: Input/output error

I called the colo facility to do a reboot using the LCD Panel, but it was
not responding. So they switched it off and then switched it back on. The
LCD is now full of black squares and the server does not respond and is
completely down. LCD stays like this and server is not operational.

I would like to have some input as to what kind of problem most likely this
can be? Would it be more likely a hardware failure? Is there a way to save
the hard drive (by putting it in a new box)? Can anything be done using the
serial ports?

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.
