Jim,
I've got a similar setup, and I use arkeia to backup all my stuff.
(www.arkeia.com) They have a light version available, which is free. The
only difference is the freebee will only backup to tape (not disk) and
it is limited to two clients.
You could install arkeia server on the SuSe box, and arkeia clients on
your RaQs (which it already should be, if you look under backup in your
control panel). On mine, I do a full system backup once a week, and a
data only backup nightly. Arkeia keeps track of everything in a
database, so if I ever need to restore anything, I tell it what file(s)
I want, the timeframe they were backed up, and arkeia tells me what tape
to go and get. Arkeia will also work with databases like mySQL
installed.
I know it's another solution from what you are looking at, but it's one
that I like.
Don't know if this cleared anything up or added to the mud... :)
