To throughly test a hard drive you must be able to dismount it.
Makes it a little difficult on a RaQ, unless you install a RaQ3i or RaQ4i
on hda, then install the drive you want to test as hdc.
Seagate does have Linux versions of the diagnostic utility, look on the Seagate Site.
