Sure, you don't have to use the GUI for DNS,
Just edit /etc/named.conf
and add the db.domain.tld files to /etc/named/
execute thinsg like
rndc reload
rndc reconfig
rndc status
Checkout "man rndc"
It's bind 9.2.1
Just don't ever do a dns operation in the GUI or it will get
overwritten.
