AFAIK there is no document that defines the different
versions of the ROM, I did find a little info on;
http://cobalt.iceblink.org
The really confusing thing is that the ROM utilities work differently
in different versions.

You can edit the ISO at will, to add updates enter them in
nfsroot-x86/bto-sync/updates or RaQ4 bundles works. Be sure to
add a prefix, to difine the order, I use 00_, 01_ and so forth.
also http://cobaltfaqs.com has some info on custom OSRCD.

There is a tech-note on the developer site, http://developer.cobalt.com/
that gives some info on working with the kernel.
