I don't think SUN has YET really addressed the Resync-Reboot issues.
I have a Brand New Raq550 with all of the Latest patches, KernelC10 and it
has been running FINE for 3 months.
Then, out of Nowhere... this past Saturday morning, at 2am. The wind was
blowing in the right direction, at the right speed, and the right
temperature. BAMM !!! Resync-Reboot, Resync-Reboot, Yaddy Yaddy Ya!
Where's Qbalt ?
Until SUN can get a handle on the RAID syncronization problems with the Dual
Drive Raq550's, It's anybodies Guess
Just my 2 cents.
Jeff

Subject: [cobalt-users] RaQ 550 Patches Question
I recently purchased a RaQ 550 and am curious as to which of the patches are
"safe" to install, specifically KernelC9Update and KernelC10Update.
I have two other RaQ's and have been subscribed to this forum in the past,
and distinctly remember several users having problems with continuous
reboots after installing the C9 update.
After digging through the archives, I'm thinking maybe the original patch
that was posted had errors, but that they have since been fixed and are
completely safe to install.
Can anyone tell me if it is 100% safe to install these Kernel updates?
TIA,
